Alton College
Alton College is a Sixth Form College situated in a rural setting in East Hampshire. We specialise in the highest quality education and training and offer a broad curriculum for some 1,650 16-18 learners and 1,900 part-time learners.
Following a successful Ofsted Inspection in May 2002, the College was awarded Beacon Status and has consistently been awarded the category of 'Excellent' by the Learning and Skills Council in all categories of assessment. In November 2004, the College received a national AoC Beacon Award in recognition of its partnership work with Treloar College on Learning Disabilities.
Alton College offers a truly inspiring environment in which to study. Its modern campus, a mix of purpose-built designs blending with open space, is welcoming and attractive. A strong feature of the learning environment is the range of private study spaces alongside superbly well-equipped specialist teaching areas.
Students receive the best teaching, learning, support, guidance and care and this is borne out by excellent results that put it as one of the best Colleges in the country. Alton College exceeds expectations for individual student performance related to prior achievement (value added). As such we are an extremely popular College that attracts students from a wide area and from local and independent schools.
