Brockenhurst College

Brockenhurst College, www.brock.ac.uk, is a large and highly successful tertiary college situated in the New Forest Hampshire. It provides full time sixth form education and training for more than 2200 16-19 year olds and annually enrols more than 10000 part-time adult learners. Full time students are attracted from a wide area including Dorset, Bournemouth & Poole, Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight. There is an extensive curriculum of academic and vocational programmes, including the International Baccalaureate and at Levels 1 – 4.

Brockenhurst College is a Centre of Vocational Excellence in Applied IT to Business and leads a thriving 14-19 partnership of local schools. High quality employer based training is well developed and a recently established international department is growing rapidly.

Following an outstanding Ofsted report in 2004, the College achieved national Beacon College status. Best practice is disseminated through Brockenhurst Sharing Success www.brock.ac.uk/sharingsuccess/ and tailor- made programmes are regularly designed to meet the needs of sector colleges.
