Central Sussex College

Central Sussex College was launched on 1st August 2005, created through the merger of Crawley College and Haywards Heath College. The College now boasts a total of seven campuses across central Sussex in Burgess Hill, Crawley, Gatwick, Haywards Heath, Horsham and East Grinstead.

Due to increasing demands for vocational and academic training, the College's facilities have undergone many improvements over the years. Currently there are extensive redevelopment works underway at the College's sixth form campus in Haywards Heath and a £75million redevelopment of the Crawley campus is expected to commence construction in 2008 (subject to funding).

The College's Crawley campus has modern training facilities to support the College's five Centres of Vocational Excellence in Care, Construction, Engineering and Retail, industry-standard editing suites and a multimedia Mac suite. Superb 'Intuition' hair and beauty salons, offering hair and beauty treatments to the public at excellent prices, and the popular Le Cordon Vert training restaurant give students the chance to practise their new skills in industry specific situations. The highly experienced Employer Services team work directly with employers to provide total training solutions for businesses across the region, with a flexible range of services and products.

The campuses in East Grinstead are the home of adult education in the area with hundreds of courses on offer, alongside vocational courses in Construction, Beauty Therapy and Motor Vehicle Engineering. The East Grinstead Central campus also features an Intuition beauty salon, also open to the public.

The Horsham campus provides award-winning training in Interior Design alongside Health Care, Hairdressing and other vocational options plus is the venue for several degree courses offered by the University of Chichester.
