Hastings College of Arts & Technology

Hastings College is a dynamic, award-winning college offering both further and higher education courses. It serves over 18,000 students.

Overlooking the sea in the beautiful, historic area of Burtons St Leonards, its main campus includes a state-of-the-art IT suite, a nursery, gym, spacious eateries, its own beauty salon and travel agent, a separate new facility for 16-19-year-olds, an extensive Skills for Life Centre and a students' union with pool tables and gaming.

Other Hastings College sites include: a large and prestigious international business and management centre; a brand new Construction Skills Centre at Parker Road; a charming conference venue in Battle; and numerous bespoke facilities across Hastings and Rother. The College is also a key partner in the groundbreaking University Centre Hastings (UCH).

All levels of ability are catered for, all the way up to Higher National Diploma and first degree level. Students that choose Hastings College come from all over the world and from refreshingly diverse backgrounds.

The College plays an important role in the continued development of Hastings as a thriving, exciting and prosperous place to live. Massive investment has been made in Hastings which, with its unique character and attractions, its buzzing nightlife and ample amenities, is gaining a reputation as the 'place to be'.

One of the few places in Sussex that offers the celebrated International Baccalaureate (a respected alternative to A levels), the College recently underwent an OFSTED inspection.
The verdict from Her Majesty's Inspectors was that Hastings College is 'strong' and 'effective', and College staff were delighted to be given a better-than-average official grading.
