Reigate College

Reigate College was established in 1976 to serve the needs of 16-19 students in Reigate, Redhill and Horley. The College now attracts students from as far away as Kent, Sussex and Outer London. About 1490 students were enrolled in September 2004 of whom 1410 are taking AS/A Level or Advanced Vocational courses and 80 are on the one-year programme of GNVQ Intermediate and GCSE courses. About 42% of the College's first year intake from our four partner schools and the remainder joins us from a wide range of state and independent schools.

The College provides a broad post-16 curriculum for students who achieve a minimum of D/E grades in the GCSEs. In September 2004, we plan to offer 40 GCE A/AS level subjects, 4 Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education, 2 BTEC National Diploma, 4 GCSE, 4 GNVQ Intermediate and a variety of short courses. We also offer Vocational GCSEs in Business, Health & Social Care and Leisure & Tourism to 14-16 students in our partner schools. The College offers all students an Enhancement Programme through which they are encouraged to develop their key communication, numerical and IT skills and to participate in a range of extra-curricular activities.

Reigate College is one of seven sixth form colleges in Surrey who work closely together in a consortium known as the 'S7 Colleges'. The College is funded through the Surrey Learning and Skills Council (LSC). It is in a financially strong position and was recently graded as 'excellent' in the LSC Provider Review.
