Taunton's College

Taunton's College is a Sixth Form College serving the west of Southampton and surrounding areas including Romsey. There are 1400 FTE 16-18 year olds and a small adult education provision. The College works in a close partnership with the 11-16 schools in Southampton and the other 2 city colleges.

Taunton's has established a Sixth Form Academy to extend and meet the needs of high achieving students. The Academy includes the option of studying the International Baccalaureate which was introduced in September 2005.

The College boasts an outstanding Music and Performing Arts Department and its practical sport, supported by academy coaching, has been of the highest standards for years.

The curriculum of the college is diverse both in level and subject with a wide range of academic and vocational options. The student body is just under 20% BME. Students regularly comment on the friendly, helpful and welcoming nature of Taunton's College.

The current management team started in 2005 and since then success rates and students numbers have grown significantly.
