Barton Peveril is a thriving, successful sixth form college located on the outskirts of Eastleigh, Hampshire. We attract around 2,500 full-time students from Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh, Southampton, Fair Oak, Hedge End, Fareham, Romsey and Winchester. The young people who choose to fulfil their academic potential here flourish in a modern, supportive environment that also develops the broader range of skills required for successful progression to higher education or employment.
Barton Peveril has a 99% A level pass rate with more than half of students achieving A* to B grades in 2011 and over 800 progressing on to university. The College has specialised Gifted & Talented and Oxbridge programmes and offers extensive enrichment opportunities including the Extended Project and Certificate in Community Volunteering. Our most recent Ofsted inspection judged the care, guidance and support given to all Barton Peveril students as ‘outstanding’ and commented on how much they value the College’s inclusive ethos together with the good support available for those with learning differences.
As a community college, Barton Peveril’s adult learning provision is also well established with a wide selection of training and development, leisure and other part-time courses on offer.
