Portsmouth College has just celebrated its twentieth anniversary as the thriving and innovative sixth form college serving the maritime city of Portsmouth, and neighbouring areas of south-east Hampshire.
We have a well-established reputation for quality in the provision of academic and vocational courses for 920 full-time students. A level results have been consistently strong, with an average of 22 subjects achieving 100% pass rates over the past four years. We offer an extensive range of opportunities for adult learners with over three thousand students currently on roll. In September 2003 we took over the University of Portsmouth’s FE courses, adding further course diversity – and at a city-centre site.
The College is particularly well served for facilities in both sport and the performing arts. In addition to fine indoor sports facilities we are very fortunate to possess twelve acres of quality playing fields on the main site – a real feature in the densely populated urban environment of Portsmouth. For performance artists the Studio Theatre is well established venue for the city, offering first-rate facilities for students of dance, drama and music.
